Léon Verhaeghe, of Flemish origin, left his native land in the early 20th century and settled in the Lot. In 1958, his son, Charles Verhaeghe and his wife Marie-Thérèse started a mixed farming enterprise and created the Cèdre vineyard by planting one hectare of vines per year on three plots of land. Their sons, Pascal and Jean-Marc belong to the second generation.
The Château du Cèdre makes Malbec wines: fruity, for drinking young, or wines for laying down - we explore all the facets of our soil and conditions. We are motivated by the sincere desire to satisfy lovers of great wines, individual or professional customers, beginners or confirmed enthusiasts. Come and find out about our Château du Cédre wines...
