Léon Verhaeghe, of Flemish origin, left his native land in the early 20th century and settled in the Lot. In 1958, his son, Charles Verhaeghe and his wife Marie-Thérèse started a mixed farming enterprise and created the Cèdre vineyard by planting one hectare of vines per year on three plots of land. Their sons, Pascal and Jean-Marc belong to the second generation.
