Pays de Cahors Library and Research centre

The Bibliothèque Patrimoniale is located above the Tourist Office, in a beautiful walnut panelled room classified as a historical monument. Built in the late 19th century, it now houses about 40,000 books.

Open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Henri-Martin Museum, Cahors

Former residence of the bishops of Cahors, the building houses the works of the pointillist painter Henri Martin, the Gambetta fund and remarkable temporary multidisciplinary exhibitions.

Open every day from 11 am to 6 pm, Sundays and holidays from 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed on Tuesdays.

Lot Museum of the Resistance, Deportation and the Liberation

Presents the birth and the development of the resistance in the Lot, the deportations and persecutions that resulted, the combats of the Liberation and finally the epic of the Free French from Brazzaville to Berlin.

Open daily from 2 pm to 6 pm except on December 25th, January 1st and May 1st.

La Maison de l'Eau, a former pumping station at Cabazat

Closed since 1971, this building houses the first information and discovery exhibition dedicated to the heritage of water and its environment.

Touch screens invite an original and personal discovery of the city and its surroundings (river heritage, famous people...). The centre is regularly enriched by exhibitions in connection with the theme of water and its uses.
