Église Saint-Barthélémy
Once named Saint-Etienne of the Soubirous, Saint-Barthélémy is one of the 10 parish churches in Cahors in the Middle Ages. The large Gothic style building is flanked by an imposing 3-row bell-tower with arched bays.
Jacques Duèze was baptized there in 1244. Once he became Pope, he began reconstruction. The church contains medieval monumental paintings, an interesting series of paintings from the 17th to the 19th century, and a pulpit from 1663, the work of master carpenter Bertrand Rouzières from Cahors.
