Château Saint-Sernin is the result of several centuries' evolution in the history of a Cahors vineyard.
A deed of 1684 concerns the purchase by Lord Fournié of plots of land planted with vines. Marie Rousset/Cavalié and Dominique Cavalié, grandson of Jean Fournié, took over the management of this old vineyard in 1965, and renewed and enlarged it.
In 2002, Jean-Michel and Anne Cavalié Swartvagher joined them to help run the family property.
Our AOC production is made with the original Cahors grape variety : Malbec. For our Vins de Pays, we use the Ségalin variety; obtained from the Jurançon Noir and Portugais Bleu grapes, rich in fruity aromas.
Respect for our traditions and our land remains a priority for us, and we invite you to come and get to know them.
